Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 August 2026

This policy describes what Blurt collects, why, and what happens to it.

Until you sign in: nothing

Blurt works fully offline. If you never sign in, nothing about you leaves your device. Games, scores, settings and player names are stored locally only.

Player names never leave the device

The names you type on the setup screen are labels for a living-room game. They are not uploaded, not linked to any account, and are deleted when you delete the app. The same is true of the kid marker next to a player's name. When a finished game is uploaded it carries only the seat positions, their scores and who won - never who they were.

If you sign in with Google or Apple

Sign-in is optional and uses Firebase Authentication. We receive your account's basic profile: a user identifier, your name and your email address. We use them only to label your statistics and to show who is signed in. We never see your password. If you use Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email address, and Apple will give us a relay address instead of your real one; everything in the app works the same either way.

Game statistics

When you finish a game while signed in, aggregate counts are uploaded: games played, words guessed, words skipped, the scores in the game and who won. No word-by-word history, no recordings, no location, no contacts, no advertising identifiers.

What we do not do

No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no tracking across apps or websites, and no selling or sharing of data with third parties for their own purposes.

Where data lives

Authentication data is processed by Google Firebase. Game statistics are stored on our own server. Data is retained while your account exists and is erased when you delete it.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect any personal data from children. Sign-in is part of the adult-facing setup; kid players are guests of a supervising adult, and nothing identifying them is uploaded.

Deleting your account and your data

You can play forever without an account. If you did sign in, open the sign-in screen inside the app and choose "Delete account". That permanently deletes your account and every statistic stored against it, straight away and without needing to contact us. If you would rather we did it for you, email support@delashmere.com from the address you signed in with.
